This is a tough knife for the outdoors. It is perfect for use around the camp ground and pretty much any job you want to give it.
Functionality
This knife has been designed for heavy duty tasks and it has real substance. The handle is usually made of traditional woods and with its square profile it is safe and easy to grip.
Blade
Made of 1084 carbon steel, the blade keeps an edge longer than a stainless steel blade and is easier to sharpen. It will patina with age and achieve its own character. There is plenty of cutting area and it has a small plunge line - providing plenty of blade thickness for heavy duty tasks. The edge is sharpened to an angle of 20 degrees.
A full tang means the blade is integrated into the handle and makes for an extremely tough knife. It can also be used in a survival situation.
Handle
The handle material is made from various wood species and can include walnut, maple, oak, and birch. The front pin is a mosaic and the rear is a lanyard pin - in either brass or stainless steel. You will receive the knife with a finely polished handle (polished to 2000 grit).
