This 6-inch chef knife is made from quality high carbon German steel. The blade has a rough textured finish and the handle is a spalted wood infused with coloured resin, finished off with black canvas micarta. Pins are 4mm brass. The advertised price includes a gift box.

Please note that high-carbon steel retains its edge well and is easy to sharpen, however it will patina with on contact with meat and vegetables and with age. It may rust if left wet and should be cleaned and dried after use . If properly cared for it will last a lifetime. Care instructions are included with the knife. It can be restored to a silver finish with fine (2000 grit) sandpaper or metal polish, at any time.
